Air ambulance helicopter flies in to help Uckfield area child

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance helicopter crew has helped treat a child in the Uckfield area.

The helicopter landed in a field next to woods at Coopers Green, on the outskirts of Uckfield, last Thursday (September 14) following the teatime emergency call.

Members of the Helicopter Emergency Service (HEMS) assisted South East Ambulance service members in treating the patient at the scene.

The child, who it is reported was injured accidentally in a fall, was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, by road.

*The Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance relies almost entirely on donations and fundraising.
