A Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called to a road accident in the Uckfield area on Saturday (October 17).
The call came at about 3.45pm and helicopter landed in a nearby field at Sharpsbridge Lane, Piltdown.
Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance service also attended the accident in which a cyclist was injured when he fell from his bike.
The Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) team assisted on scene and the patient was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital at Brighton by road with head and lower leg injuries.
The air ambulance is not part of the NHS and is supported entirely by charitable donations.
