15 sacks of litter bagged in Uckfield clean up

Youngsters from Uckfield Rugby Club helped clear litter from streets close to their club’s ground.

They  spent part of Sunday (May 11) morning litter picking on the Manor Park and Hempstead Fields estates.

Eighteen volunteers from the rugby club took part, supporting members of the Brighter Uckfield group.

Brighter Uckfield reported 15 sacks of litter had been collected.

Chairman of the Manor Park and Hempstead Fields Residents’ Association, Paul Sparks, said on Twitter he was delighted to see people, including youngsters, picking up litter. “Thank you, and well done,” he said.
