Nicole Douglas, writing about the Uckfield rail line, said: “The line is an absolute joke! How people are supposed to continually be late for work as trains keep being cancelled is beyond me!

“Let’s add another 1000 homes and more commuters to the mix to really make even more mess of this town. Fitsteps classes have been created by Strictly Come Dancing stars Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite working with six-times world champion swimming mark Foster, a former Strictly contestant and an expert in fitness and conditioning.

Susan Daniel says Uckfield Singers Community Choir and Uckfield Concert Brass joined forces and raised more than £300 for The Rockinghorse Appeal, Royal Alex Children’s Hospital.
