Where to go and what to do in the Uckfield area

There’s an antiques, collectables and vintage fair at Bridge Cottage tomorrow and two concerts in the evening – the Tannahill Weavers will be at the Civic Centre and the Sussex Mozart Ensemble at Bridge Cottage.

Internationally-renowned artist Gabriela Albergaria will be artist-in-residence at Sheffield Park and Garden next week and creating an installation that will be on display throughout the summer.

New sequences will be introduced at Tone to the Tunes, an adult conditioning class at Ridgewood Village Hall on Tuesday so this is the perfect time to give the sessions a try.

On Thursday there’s a recruitment open day at East Sussex National and you are interested in working there you are invited to go along with your updated CV and learn about the jobs available.

Also on Thursday Mardi Gras comes to The Picture House Restaurant with live music from Dom Pipkin and his band plus a Cajun menu.

More tips on where to go and what to do can be found in the Where I’ve been this week feature, on our Uckfield Events website, where readers share pictures of places they’ve been -  without spending on an entry charge.

If you have pictures you would like to share in this feature please email them to cathy@uckfieldnews.com with a little information on where they were taken and why you would recommend a visit.
