On both Saturday and Sunday there will be a Marie Curie Bloomin’ Great Tea Party at SG Home Interiors in Bell Farm Lane. You are invited along between 10am and 4pm to enjoy a free slice of lemon drizzle cake.

On Sunday there’s a classic car show and live music at The Blackboys Inn and also an open day at Uckfield Fire Station when firefighters celebrate 150 years of service in the town.

Coming up during the week

On Monday Bridge Cottage will be hosting a celebratory tea party to mark the centenary of an Act of Parliament which paved the way for men and women over the age of 21 to vote in elections.

Then from Thursday to Sunday Bridge Cottage will be hosting an Emerging Talents Art and Photography Exhibition, giving people who have never exhibited before the chance to show their work.

Next weekend

Next weekend there’s a summer fun day and car show at the National Cat Adoption Centre at Chelwood Gate, and family art activities at Charleston.
