Wealden Liberal Democrats have selected Giles Goodall as their prospective parliamentary candidate to fight the General Election on May 7.
Giles, who was born and bred in Sussex, aims to bring his experience as an international civil servant to benefit Wealden if elected as local MP.
His priorities are more affordable housing for local people, a better public transport network in the constituency, and protecting green spaces.
With 15 years experience of working with the European Union, Giles wants to mobilise European funding and trading opportunities for local people and businesses:
“Wealden needs a strong and experienced voice in Parliament who’ll stand up for local peoples’ interests at Westminster.
“Only Liberal Democrats will stand up for the moderate majority, building a
stronger economy and a fairer society, where everyone has the chance to get
on in life.
“I look forward to working with the local Lib Dem team to represent Wealden
