Buxted resident Vicky Price collected £150 for charity by organising fund-raising events including a brunch at her home at the weekend.
Vicky who sells Forever Living Aloe Vera products also set up a JustGiving page, and donated £1 from every purchase of a Forever Living aloe lip balm to the Coppafeel charity.
The event was boosted when a friend gave facials using Forever Living products, Vicky promised ten per cent of the value of each order received on the day to the charity.
Coppafeel was set up by Kris Hallenga, who at 23 was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer. She made it her mission to educate both men and women about breast health and cancer as one in three people are diagnosed with it.
Vicky said: “I subscribed to receive monthly reminders about checking my breasts and I happened to find a lump. Thankfully it was nothing serious, just a cyst, but this made me realise how important the work of Coppafeel was so I decided to try to raise some funds.”
