Uckfield youngsters raise funds for children with heart disease

Four Uckfield youngsters have raised £850 for children with heart disease after organising a sponsored swim.

Seven-year-old Holly Richardson, who attends Rocks Park Primary School, Uckfield,  came up with the idea because her brother Sam has a heart condition.

Three of her friends joined in. They are Maisie, aged ten, Greg, ten, and Maddy, 13.

Altogether the children swam 6,280 metres at the East Sussex National Golf Club and Health Spa where they have been taught to swim by Emma Heather.

The £850 raised will go to the Evelina Children’s Hospital in London which is part of Guys and St Thomas.
