Uckfield Weald and Field

Uckfield Weald and Field event draws crowds to Luxford Field

Visitors poured on to the Luxford Field, Uckfield, on Saturday (August 6) for the first Weald and Field event.

Stalls showcased food and drinks sourced in the Weald area of Sussex, along with crafts.

The August farmers’ market was moved from the top-end of the Luxford car park on to the field to become part of the event.

A marquee was set up in the centre of the field, which provided seats and shelter from the sun for people who were listening to the music.

The Weald and the Field was one of a series of events which have been organised this year by a working group of Uckfield Town Council to promote the town and its traders during the roadworks.
