Uckfield Town Council talks about parking in private session

Parking in Uckfield is under review by the town council.

Town clerk, Holly Goring, has been instructed by councillors to “liaise with the relevant bodies to address and action the proposed next steps”.

Members of the town council at their meeting on Monday, October 17, considered a report in private session after the exclusion of the Press and the public under the provisions of of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, because of the “confidential nature of the business to be transacted it was advisable in the public interest that the public be temporarily excluded and they were instructed to withdraw”.

The item was headed: Initial review of parking.

While in private session, the councillors also resolved for the town clerk to undertake further research into the options available for the future of the town’s CCTV cameras and report back at the next meeting of the full council.
