Uckfield Specsavers offers free home visits for eye tests

Free home visits to conduct NHS eye tests are being offered by Specsavers in Uckfield.

The service is available for people who cannot get to their local store unaccompanied.

Suz Diamond-Wall, lab manager at Specsavers in Uckfield, invites people interested in the service to call 07818 525776 to make an appointment.

Dedicated team

She said: “We have a dedicated team who travel around and what they do is amazing. They do exactly the same test at home that we can do here.”

She added that the travelling opticians carry with them a large range of frames so that, if people need new glasses, they are able to choose them during the visit.

The eye tests can be conducted at a place of people’s own choosing, that might be in their own home, or in a care home.
