Uckfield organisations ask for grants totalling nearly £60,000

Twenty-seven organisations have applied for grants totalling nearly £60,000 from Uckfield Town Council.

The largest grants sought are from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau £18,000, Uckfield Community College Young People’s Counselling service, £6,080 and Uckfield FM, £5,000.

Uckfield Festival Association, Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society and the Uckfield Scout Band are each seeking £4,000.

Uckfield Rugby Club has applied for £2,500, Brighter Uckfield Campaign, £2,480, Homestart South Down, £1,495.32 and Uckfield Phab Club £1,251.

The town council’s finance sub-committee will consider the applications at a meeting tonight in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre.
