Uckfield High Street works ‘could cause minor delays’

Works are to take place in Uckfield High Street to complete improvements carried out in 2016.

Uckfield Town Council says on its Facebook page that they should begin on Wednesday (March 14), and finish on Friday, March 23, and include replacing a damaged bike rack, and replacing and repairing damaged footway kerbs and bollards.

It says the majority of works will be on the footway but safety barriers may spill onto the road to ensure the safety of contractors, hence causing some minor delays.

It will be done during daylight hours with the aim of causing minimum disruption for pedestrians and vehicles.
