Events coming up in Uckfield include a refurbishment celebration at Luxfords Restaurant tonight, a Hallowe’en Party at Barney’s Playbarn, fireworks at Uckfield Rugby Club and a Spooktacular Afternoon Tea at Buxted Park Hotel.
Luxfords Restaurant will be celebrating its new look with an Italian Opera Dinner - the first of a series of themed evening events to be held there.
Also tonight for anyone with an interest in Parkinson’s there is a free presentation ‘Living Well with Parkinson’s’ at the Ashdown Room at Uckfield Civic Centre.
And during the evening Uckfield Rugby Club is hosting a Grand Firework Display which will include a Napoleonic Re-enactment display by The 95th Rifles, including live firing of muskets and cannon.
On Sunday there’s a Hallowe’en Spooktacular Afternoon Tea at Buxted Park Hotel.
During the week
Coming up during the week Universal Dance is organising an adult class – Dance Like the Music Video – at Maresfield Village Hall, and on Wednesday there’s an open day at St Philip’s Catholic Primary School.
‘Everything you ever wanted to know about opera’ is the title of a five-week course being launched by the Adult College for Rural East Sussex (ACRES) at Uckfield Civic Centre on the afternoon of Thursday, November 1.
That evening there’s a talk on the History of Tinkers Park, organs, steam engines and agricultural equipment at Bridge Cottage.
You’ll find Family Friendly Fireworks in a ticketed event at Ridgewood Village Hall on Saturday, November 3.
And on Sunday there’s a spooky-themed Black Cat Day at the National Cat Adoption Centre at Chelwood Gate.
