Uckfield Club plans to extend its Bell Lane premises

The Uckfield Club has applied for planning permission to build an extension on to its premises in Bell Lane, Uckfield, to provide a kitchen.

Documents submitted to Wealden Council say it would be a single storey extension with a flat roof. Bricks and windows would match those in the existing building.

The aim is to allow space for preparation of light meals for club members and washing up facilities.

Access to the kitchen would be from behind the present bar and via an existing side door.

A design and access statement says the premises are sited in an area where there has been flooding in the past. “However, following the last flood, measures have been introduced to reduce the possibility of flooding to this area of Uckfield.
