Uckfield solicitors Dawson Hart were recognised for their “outstanding” charitable work at the Chestnut Tree House Business Awards.
More than 100 people attended the awards where Dawson Hart were grand finalists in the Outstanding SME supporter category.
The company chose Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice as their charity of the year for 2016 and raised £4,260 through the events they organised. Press coverage of their events also helped raise awareness of the charity.
Hugh Lowson, chief executive of Chestnut Tree House said: “We created these awards as a way to recognise the many companies and individual employees who have raised significant funds for us in a variety of innovative ways.
He added: “There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex, and with less than seven per cent of our funding coming from central government it is only through the ongoing support and generosity of our local community that we are able to keep our doors open and reach out to all the children and families who need our help.”
