Kitchen and bathroom designer Yasmin Motovalli from Uckfield has been chosen to take part in the finals of the Miss England contest.
Yasmin, aged 23, won her place after competing against 19 other girls in the final of the South East Beauty Awards which began with 200 auditioning for a place.
Yasmin, pictured here, designed and modelled her own Eco Wear created from high street carrier bags as part of the competition held in Guildford. She also modelled sportswear in a cat walk presentation.
Yasmin works in Burgess Hill but lives in Browns Lane with partner Chris Robson, who plays football for Framfield and Blackboys and works at Perception Kayaks, on the Bellbrook Business Park, Uckfield. Her parents Bahram and Deirdre live in Ridgewood.
Yasmin will be taking part in sports activities in a Miss England Boot Camp in the run up to the Miss England Finals which will be held on July 18 and 19 at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole. She said: “I’m looking forward to the boot camp because I’m quite sporty.”
Yasmin thinks she will also be designing another eco outfit using recycled materials.
She is delighted to be through to the Miss England Finals. She has been taking part in beauty contests since 2008 always finishing in second or third place so is excited to think she now has the chance of becoming Miss England and possibly after that … Miss World.
