UCKFIELD ATTACK: Two boys arrested

Two arrests have been made by Sussex Police investigating an assault in Uckfield High Street on Sunday (May 12) afternoon.

One boy is 14 and the other 15.

The lads are from Crowborough.

They have been arrested for causing grievous bodily harm and are being interviewed at Eastbourne custody suite this afternoon (May 14).

Uckfield attack in town centre

Yesterday (May 13) the police made an appeal for witnesses after an attack the day before in the centre of Uckfield.

They said a 26-year-old was kicked and punched when attacked while walking from Tesco’s in Bell Farm Lane, past the Civic Centre on into the High Street.

He suffered injuries to his face, ribs, arms and legs .

The victim went to hospital before being allowed home.

Any witnesses, or anyone who may have mobile phone or dash-cam images of the incident, is asked to contact Sussex Police online or phone 101, quoting serial 770 of 12/05.
