Three members of staff have been promoted at Swindells accountants in Uckfied. They are Brian Knights, Sally Webber and Katie Squire.
Brian Knights was Swindells personal tax manager and is now personal tax associate. He started as an accounts trainee, becoming an accounts manager at another Sussex firm.
While there, he switched from accounts and started training for his tax exams.
Brian re-joined Swindells in 2003, completed his chartered tax exams, and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax in 2010. He specialises in personal tax and manages the department on a daily basis.
Sally Webber started at Swindells when she left school in 2008, as a trainee accountant studying for her AAT exams which she passed with distinction.
She then completed her training as a chartered accountant, qualifying in 2013 and winning a national prize along the way. She leads on most of the firm’s audits and also looks after a small portfolio of non-audit clients.
Katie Squire joined Swindells Seaford office to do work experience in 2005 and was offered a job when she left school in 2006.
She studied for her AAT and went on to complete training to become a chartered certified accountant.
Katie was also a prize winner, coming top globally in her tax exams with a mark of 94%. Katie now looks after bookkeeping services for Swindells clients and was responsible for managing the transition to cloud accounting using QuickBooks Online.
