Two Uckfield firms work together

Uckfield based Oldfield Smith chartered surveyors have taken delivery of two new vehicles supplied by another local firm Neva Consultants.

Graham Prince, senior partner at Neva, which is based at Piltdown, said they were delighted to help in providing practical, smart and professional vehicles that enhanced the Oldfield Smith image and also served all the operational requirements they have as a busy firm of chartered surveyors.

The two Nissan Navara doublecab pick-ups were financed on contract hire agreements. These leasing arrangements are proving increasingly popular both for commercial and personal use.

Mr Prince said: “I think the growth in the personal market is because, since we appear to be coming out of the recession, individuals are looking carefully at their costs and how to manage income and expenditure without having long term commitments.

“One of the main advantages of leasing is that it enables people to budget the costs of having a vehicle. Agreements can include all maintenance and tyres for the length of a contract so it is easy to budget knowing the only extra costs are for fuel and insurance – and Neva can offer packages to include insurance for the term of the lease as well.”

Mr Prince said leasing also offered flexibility for people who knew they might have different requirements in two or three years. At the end of the agreement they could change their vehicle to suit their needs without having to dispose of the old vehicle.

Richard Oldfield, from Oldfield Smith, said they were very pleased with their vehicles and with the advice received from Neva.

They needed to be able carry their sign boards and that have the clearance to travel to more remote farm properties whatever the weather, as well as those on the High Street, and the vehicles suggested and sourced by Neva were an ideal business tool while also being tax efficient.

There was an offer on the Nissan Navara at the time and, with Oldfield Smith having done their homework comparing the deal with what was available from main dealers, Mr Oldfield said they knew it couldn’t be matched elsewhere.

“We are very, very happy,” he added.
