Two cottages could make way for three homes at Five Ash Down

Two semi-detached cottages and outbuildings in the centre of Five Ash Down could be demolished and three detached homes built in their place.

The development is proposed at 71 Five Ash Down by Jemwood Properties.

The new houses would share an access which would then split into three drives each containing two parking spaces.

Planning documents say the existing dwellings are in a poor state of repair with the living accommodation small and badly laid out.

“They are unfeasible to refurbish and extend and therefore require to be demolished,” says the design and access statement.

It adds there would be no loss of light or privacy for neighbours and the living standards offered by the proposed properties and cartilages are to a high standard and would create good family homes.
