A star from the hit TV show, The Only Way Is Essex – TOWIE – is helping make an ill child’s dream come true.
Leah Wright has supported an appeal which aims to give Harry Hadley-Binder, from the Manor Park Estate, Uckfield, the trip of a lifetime to the USA.
Eight-year-old Harry has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
He was diagnosed with the disease in 2012 and his aunt, Krissi Binder, from Burgess Hill, has launched a fund to pay for a holiday in Disneyland, Florida.
She said Harry was “winning the battle” at the moment but had been through an horrendous time with multiple admissions to hospital with infections, chemotherapy treatment and various other related procedures.
At the moment he is in the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton having contracted shingles. He also has pneumonia.
“He has no immune system and is very unwell,” she said.
“I am trying to raise funds to send him, his mum and younger brother to Disneyland in Florida as this is Harry’s dream.”
Make Harry’s Dream Come True supported by TOWIE star
She is using her Twitter account (@Krissie101) to promote the fund with TOWIE star, Leah Wright, adding her support through social media.
Donations can be made through a Gofundme page called Make Harry’s Dream Come True.
It has already attracted £1,100 towards the target of £5,000.
Krissi added: “Even if people can’t donate personally, perhaps they could spread the word with what we are trying to achieve.”
*TOWIE is described as a “scripted reality” TV soap opera based in Essex.
