Here’s a look at what can be found in Uckfield shops during February. There’s plenty of variety from rugs and furniture to jewellery and wool.
George Moss jewellers go retro
George Moss jewellers are celebrating jewellery from the past in a window display at their shop in Uckfield High Street.
Their focus is on the Art Deco era and the display features pre-loved jewellery.
Director Rob Suckling said that not only does the jewellery reflect an era of our history but the quality is unsurpassed, and the prices are realistic.
Rob said: “All the jewellery goes through our workshop and comes out as good as new and with a 12 month guarantee.”

Lots of new stock at Josefina
Lots of new stock is on display at Josefina including homeware from new suppliers to keep ringing the changes.
The shop also has also found a new joinery company to increase its bespoke range of furniture. You choose the piece you like and then select the colour, finish, and knobs that will suit your colour scheme.
There are 15 different sized chests of drawers, wardrobes and tables available.
Coming up for Josefina owner Louise Beard is a trip to a trade fair in Birmingham where she will be pre-ordering stock for Christmas 2017.
Diane Hutt Gallery welcomes new artists
Works by artists new to the Diane Hutt Gallery are arriving.
Already on display is a stag by Ben Jeffrey and a popular image by Craig Everett which blends a black and white scene from the past with a lad on his bike in a splash of colour.
You’ll see Lillias Black works in the gallery window and Doug Hyde has created special Valentine’s Day offerings, a picture and a sculpture.
Mats available at SG Home Interiors
Newly arrived at SG Home Interiors in Bell Farm Lane, Uckfield, are mats in a variety of colours and patterns.
Coloured glasses in different shapes and sizes are available too, for cocktails, Champagne, wine, along with tumblers.

New wool shop within Sew n Sew in Bell Walk
A new wool shop has been created within Sew n Sew the haberdashery in Bell Walk.
You are welcome to call in and browse the wide variety of wools, mainly from King Cole and Stylecraft.
There’s a table too where you can sit comfortably and enjoy looking through patterns to inspire your creativity.
Spring/summer stock arriving at Chapter Three
Spring/summer stock is arriving at Chapter Three and bringing more colour into the boutique.
A big delivery from the popular Postcards brand is on the way and lots of things for Valentine’s Day are in the shop.
There are new scarves, a range of handmade cards, and lots of new jewellery, including from the sought-after Orelia brand. Look out for a pretty dress with hearts all over it which should be appearing in the window this week.
Specials on the menu at Hartfields
Hartfields, the produce store, deli and cafe, has introduced a breakfast specials menu, and included on it is the often-requested porridge – winter warmer porridge, jumbo rolled oats, served with your choice of cinnamon-stewed apples and brown sugar, or fresh fruit compote, drizzled with local honey.
Also on the breakfast specials menu is breakfast salad which includes sausage bacon, black pudding, croutons with mixed leaf salad, onion, and pepper topped with a poached egg.
Hartfields has a new dinner specials menu too. Starters included are carrot and coriander falafels with harissa mayonnaise, or panko-breaded halloumi sticks, with red pepper relish.
Mains include pan-fried cod fillet with braised wild rice, wilted spinach, saffron cream sauce, or Cajun-spiced duck breast, sauce potatoes, winter greens, mint, garlic and cucumber yoghurt.
Ski season is well under way but PipeDreams can still supply flip flops
While PipeDreams the Uckfield snow, surf, and skate shop is deep into the ski season it is still able to help people heading off to warmer climes.

You’ll find Heart-shaped cheeses, such as Godminster Brie, Neufchâtel, and waxed cheddar, in stock at Cheese Etc as Valentine’s Day approaches.

Also in stock are Raclette Grills,which can be fun dinner party centrepieces where friends and family are able to select and cook their own food on top of the grill or in individual dishes underneath.
Special offers on Clarins at Kamsons
There are special offers on Clarins products at Kamsons at the moment.
It is possible to save £20 on a Clarins Cleansing Trousse, which is available for £24.

Offers at Noble Wines at the moment include Governo, a full-bodied Rippaso selling for £19.99, on a buy one get one free deal.
Chateau Toutigeac, which is £9.99 a bottle, is available at £15 for two bottles while stocks last.
Lots of craft beers are for sale, including two new ones from Beaver Town, Spresso and Lupuloid IPA.
Noble Wines is also now stocking Black Cat Gin for £35.99, an average price for a premium gin.
Be seen if you are stepping up your running
There are a variety of products at Final Score, in Uckfield, to ensure you are seen on the roads while out running early in the morning or after dark.
Look for hi viz tops and jackets, hats, and snap fit bands for your wrist.
The shop is also continuing an offer on Nike footballs. They are available in yellow, white, green and orange. The footballs are £13 each, two for £24, three for £33, or four or more £10 each.
Evening wear on display at Chestnut Tree shop
Evening wear, focussing on red and black, is on display at the Chestnut Tree children’s hospice charity shop to tempt those thinking of Valentine’s Day treats.
Look out at the end of the month for spring clothes which will be going on display. People are already asking when they will be available, according to Angie Page.
New stock arriving at Carvills
Carvills is looking forward to February with new stock arriving constantly.
Some of the things to look out for include a new ‘Botanical’ collection from Stoneglow, including reed diffusers, and candles, with fragrances including Meadow Flower, Orange Blossom, English Rose and Lavender Garden.
There are also reusable gel candles created using real botanical pieces and filled with natural wax.

Mother and baby sessions at Kilnwood Studio
Mother and baby sessions are now available at Kilnwood Studio on Tuesdays and there is 15% off the studio fee for mums and children coming along then.
During half term the normal studio fee of 4 is to be halved for children.
