Three-year-old hurt in collision with car

A three-year-old boy was hurt when involved in a collision with a car in Uckfield yesterday.

Police said they understood injuries to his face and forehead were ‘slight’ and he was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Emergency services were called to Manor Way, close to the junction with The Drive at 4.48pm. The driver of a Land Rover Freelander, a 67-year-old woman, from Uckfield, was unhurt.

Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended, landing at Hunters Way, but the boy was transported by road.

Air ambulances are funded by public donations.
