Visitors basked in the sun at Uckfield Lions’ Big Fun Day on the Luxford Field on Sunday (June 5) afternoon.
A large array of stalls greeted visitors as well as a car boot sale.
Live music and events took place in a ring area at the centre of the event.
Among the stalls were the Field First Responders, raising awareness of the vital work they do in saving lives in Uckfield and surrounding villages.
The trained volunteers respond to emergency calls in conjunction with South East Coast Ambulance Service.
They live locally and are able to attend the scene of an emergency within a few minutes, often before the emergency services arrive.
The first responders offer live-saving first aid, further increasing the patient’s chances of survival.
Putting on a major display was East Sussex Fire and Rescue, who brought along a seat-belt sled.
The Big Day was also supported by other town organisations and businesses.
The annual scarecrow competition came to its conclusion with those attending being invited to vote for their favourite scarecrow.
The annual Lions Big Fun Day has, on past occasions, been hit by poor, wet weather but Sunday’s sunshine brought out townspeople and ensured the ice cream van did a good trade.
