Hempstead Meadows Local Nature Reserve in the snow

Snow wonderland: Hempstead Meadows nature reserve and more

Today’s snow and ice have made travelling difficult.

It’s been awkward and sometimes treacherous getting around.

Many pupils have had a “snow day” from school and been out sledging and having fun.

This morning’s frequent heavy snow showers have gone and Uckfield at 3pm is in bright sunshine.

It has turned attractive parts of the town into a real winter wonderland.

Our photographer is just back from the Uckfield Town Council-owned Hempstead Meadows Local Nature Reserve.

Here is a selection of the photographs.
