Free events are to be run by Wealden Council in January 2017 to encourage residents to switch to Smart Energy meters.
The council says the aim is to help residents save money and provide a boost to the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The villages and rural towns chosen for the events are those without mains gas and include East Hoathly, Isfield and Halland. Grant funding from Smart Energy GB is being used to deliver them and free refreshments will be available.
There will be chance to learn about Smart Energy meters and about the latest in home energy efficiency. Independent advice from energy bill switching experts will also be offered – make sure to take along your latest energy bill, along with winter resilience tips from Citizen’s Advice.
