Show flat opens at Grants Hill Court

A show flat is now open at Grants Hill Court, a new retirement development built by Wealden Council in Uckfield.

The council says viewings are strictly by appointment.

The £10m development, in Oaklea Way, includes 67 self-contained apartments, residents’ lounge, guest suite, buggy store, two lifts, parking, landscaped grounds, two courtyard gardens, and free wi-fi.

There are two types of apartment one-bedroom, and one-bedroom plus. Each has living room, bedroom, kitchen, hall and bathroom. The one-bedroom plus also has a study.

To be eligible to live at Grants Hill Court you need to be of retirement age (60 plus) and registered on Wealden District Council’s Housing Register.

The council says preference will be given to applicants in accordance with its housing allocations policy and local lettings plan.
