Ridgewood Post Office is ready for Christmas with wrapping paper, cards and advent calendars for sale along with seasonal stamps.
Look out for cards carrying Greetings from Ridgewood and wrapping paper at £1.25 a roll. There are gift cards, chocolate selection boxes and plenty of other sweet treats too.
When shopping for food supplies you will find cheese and ham from Curd and Cure at Cranbrook, and popular Ruby Cakes, from Burgess Hill – a choice of Victoria, Lemon Drizzle or Chocolate – and a variety of snack bars too, including Marbled Fudge.
Bread is available and you’ll spot a fruit and veg cart on your way into the shop. This has only been introduced in the last year and the produce is proving popular.
The Post Office is open the same hours as the shop these days from 6.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and from 6.45am to noon on Sundays.
You can buy your stamps and post your parcels there but remember that the last parcel collection of the week is on Friday afternoon at around 3pm and it is difficult for large parcels to be stored in the shop over the weekend.
If you pop into the shop on Friday (November 18) you will find staff supporting the Children in Need Appeal, wearing the T-shirts, and encouraging people to donate to the cause.
• Last posting date for second class mail is December 20 and for first class is December 21.
