Commercial agent Chris Lawson who argues for a third access to the Bellbrook Estate, Uckfield.

Readers letters – We do need third access to Bellbrook Estate

Support for comments by Owen Hoy published on Uckfield News before Christmas has come from commercial agent Chris Lawson.

Chris says in an email: “Well done, I agree with nearly all your comments. Good to see some clear practical common sense being reported. I know a lot of people will agree but are too intimidated by modern media to express a view publicly.

“The one issue I disagree on is Bell Lane. As someone who spends a lot of time there it is awfully congested and a third exit/entrance would be beneficial. However where it could be created is a massive task.

“Overall jolly well said keep up the good work!”

Renewable energy is essential

Simon Eden challenged Owen’s views on green energy when he commented on the Uckfield News Facebook page saying:

“Your views on green energy and your knowledge of the range of electric cars is outdated . Changing our our future energy supplies to renewables and use the of electric cars to clean our air is a necessity if you don’t want to spend the rest of your life making Saudi Arabia richer.

“You think solar panels are a blog on the landscape, wait till they start FRACKING the South Downs for oil to run your beloved petrol car.

“Wake up and smell the roses not the petrol fumes.”
