Prizes of £50 and £20 respectively have been presented to the winners of a Best Dressed House competition run by the Manor Park and Hempstead Fields Residents’ Association.
First prize went to a display put together by the Hartfield family in Barnett Way, and the runner-up prize was awarded for lights decorating a bungalow and garden in Streele View.
The entries were judged by Belinda, Association Committee member, and Nick Gulliver and Owen Badman from Peter Oliver Homes.
Peter Oliver Homes matched prize money put forward by the association, and two charities, both nominated by the winners, will receive £50 and £20 respectively. They are Uckfield Foodbank and the Salvation Army.
