UckfieldNews.com is part of the Uckfield News Network of websites which includes Uckfield News, Uckfield Events, Uckfield Directory, and Uckfield Jobs.

We focus on the news of businesses in the Uckfield area which have paid-for listings in our Uckfield Directory and carry paid-for adverts on our website pages.

We also carry general news which we believe will be of interest to our readers, and information when we believe it is in the public interest.

We collect name and email address so that Uckfield News headlines can be sent out via MailChimp, whose own privacy policy can be seen here. We do not share your contact details with anyone else and use them only for the purpose specified.

Every email carries an unsubscribe button so that you can stop receiving the emails at any time. If you prefer you can email cathy@uckfieldnews.com to request that you are unsubscribed manually.

Customer information

Marketing

We contact businesses and organisations locally on the grounds of legitimate interest to see whether they would like to work with us. If interest is expressed we follow-up and, with permission, keep in touch. We do not send group emails to customers, or potential customers – all contact is individual. We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it was for, ie for accounting, legal or reporting requirements. By law we must keep basic information for tax purposes about customers for five years.
