Police publish details of Uckfield woman’s jail sentence

Police have published details about the sentencing of an Uckfield woman who admitted preying on elderly and vulnerable people she befriended while working in hospital and as a carer in the community.

They say Gwendolyn Lanius was jailed for two years for stealing thousands of pounds from the vulnerable in East Sussex after tricking them into thinking she was there to help them. She was found out after a pensioner had CCTV cameras installed in her home.
