James Billing says the shop remains closed today. A scenes of crime officer has been in this morning, he has had three doors repaired and he needs to re-stock before opening for business again tomorrow.
The raid took place through the back of the shop and he didn’t notice anything wrong until he opened up this morning and walked through the premises.
A walk-in freezer had been emptied and other stock stolen included whole sirloins, whole rib-eyes, whole rumps and two whole sides of pork. He was stunned that a whole pig had been taken.
Also stolen were duck breasts, duck legs, and chicken livers.
He thinks the thieves must have gone down a side alley into a neighbours garden and from there into the back of his premises, or from a car park behind.
Locks on three doors were broken.
