Police investigate barn fire at Ringmer

Police are seeking witnesses or information about a barn fire in Ringmer which destroyed 100 bales of hay and part of the building.Police sign

Firefighters were called to the barn at Old House Farm at around 9pm on Thursday last week (July 21) by which time it was well alight.

The barn is owned by the Glyndebourne Estate and rented out for storage. Subsequent investigation showed the most likely cause of the blaze was arson.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1631 of 21/07.
