Police appeal after Uckfield man seriously hurt in East Hoathly crash

Police are trying to find two drivers who may have valuable information about a crash on the A22 at East Hoathly which left another driver with serious injuries.

At about 7am on Friday (15 May), a milk float and a van were driving north on the A22 East Hoathly By-Pass when a white Vauxhall Corsa saloon driving south left the road and collided with a tree on its nearside.

The Corsa driver, a 21-year old Uckfield man, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where his condition is still described as serious.

The two drivers, and anyone else who saw what happened, are asked to contact Sussex Police via collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting serial 246 of 15/5.
