Uckfield will don its party hat on Friday, December 7, for the town’s late-night shopping evening.
There will be mulled wine and hot chestnuts, a hog roast, and mince pies for sale, with festive treats also offered by businesses and organisations to celebrate the occasion.
Entertainment is being laid on up and down the High Street including performances from Spirit Elite cheerleaders and Universal Dance members. The road will be closed between Bell Lane and Grange Road, from 5pm.
There will be children’s rides, stalls, and music. Schoolchildren will sing on a stage in the lay-by outside Hartfields and Fluffy Side Up and there will be another stage in the area opposite Olives Yard.
In Olives Yard Uckfield Lions will be with Santa on his sleigh as he chats with children. Dates for more Santa appearances around Uckfield can be found here.
Harveys Brewery Dray is due to be sited on the Bridge Cottage forecourt with more stalls. Charity Christmas cards will be on sale in the cottage too.
Craft stalls will be based in Civic Approach and Kings Church will be offering a gift wrapping service in the area outside Final Score Sports Shop and the Volunteer Centre.
Tim Benians, of Uckfield Framing, has arranged for art displays in estate agency offices.
