Newick Pre-school is looking to recruit a manager.
The successful candidate will have current knowledge of all aspects of Early Years, and able to keep pace with this continually evolving profession.
You must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge suitable to ensure a team of practitioners are meeting all the needs of the children in your care and are able to fully initiate partnership with parent/carers.
Previous line management experience is an essential skill. You must also be able to support planning to follow the interests of the children while expanding their knowledge of the world around them.
Newick Pre-school is ‘outstanding’, according to Ofsted, and is run by a committee of parents, both past and present with the role of nominated person fulfilled by the manager.
The Pre-school is based in The Old Reading Room, a ‘pack-away setting’, with a fresh start each day.
The role is for 32 hours a week and is term time only for 38 weeks a year.
The Pre-school says: “We are looking for a manger with relevant experience and endless enthusiasm for this role.
“The hours are 8.30am to 3.10pm Monday to Friday, although some extra hours will be required for committee meetings and fund-raising too. The hourly rate will be from £12, depending on qualifications and experience.”
All candidates will have to undergo rigorous suitability checks. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
