More than 120 attend Diamond Jubilee Ball in Uckfield
More than 120 people celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on Saturday at a ball organised by the Rotary Club of Uckfield.
It was held at the Civic Centre which was specially decorated for the occasion even having replica diamonds on the tables.
There was a three-course meal and the ball started with singing by Maddie Broad who was accompanied by Olly Muxworthy on the piano. It was Maddie's 18th birthday and the audience sang happy birthday to her.
The Soul Destroyers band accompanied dancing.
Rotary president Chris Purser was compere for the evening and funds raised - expected to reach four figures from a draw and fun casino - are going to his nominated charity, Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Eleven guests from the Rotary Club of Le Mans-Scarrion came to the ball and stayed with Uckfield Rotarians over the weekend.
On Friday night there were two buffet dinners and during the day on Saturday, before the ball, there was a guided tour of Brighton's Royal Pavilion with lunch at an Italian restaurant and a walk along the seafront and pier.
