Children find diamonds in Uckfield Rotary Club competition
Eight-year-old Katie Sykes of Holy Cross School won a Find the Diamond competition organised to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee by Uckfield Rotary Club.
Holy Cross School was also the overall winner of the contest which involved looking for diamonds tucked away in shop window displays.
Katie was presented with a prize of £30 and £100 was given to her school by Mr Chris Purser, president of the Rotary Club which will to towards buying sports equipment.
In second place was Andrew Steers from Rocks Park Primary School who won £20.
Five children shared third place and each received £10. They were Alex Ridley and L. Prendergast from Rocks Park School, Keyleigh Rogers, Heidi Fox and Emily Rogers all from Manor School.
