Uckfield author to launch book at British Speedway Grand Prix
Uckfield children’s author Trisha Bridger will launch her second book in Cardiff on the day of the British Speedway Grand Prix, Saturday, August 25.
Entitled “Speedway”, the reader is taken on a speedway race journey filled with fun and surprises as they imagine themselves racing towards the finishing line.
The book includes a special tribute to the late Lee Richardson, the British rider who died earlier this year following a track crash in Poland.
It has won the backing of many of the sport’s leading riders including defending world champion Greg Hancock and three-times champion, Nicki Pedersen.
Trisha – whose nephew is Lewis Bridger, former British Under 18 and Under 21 champion – will be doing a book signing at Waterstones Cardiff The Hayes between 11am and 1.30pm.
She will also be in the GP fanzone signing copies of her book with the Lee Richardson Fund-raiser.
Trisha wrote "Speedway" as a follow up to her first book "Why can't I Fly?" although not a story about diabetes it raises money for Diabetes UK from book sales.
