Uckfield gets more roadworks

Uckfield gets a whole new set of roadworks today.

The main road into the town from the A22 will be reduced to single-lane while yet more works are scheduled for Snatts Road.

Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in use on the B2102 Bell Farm Lane until June 1 for a slip road to be built to land near the West Park housing estate where a new doctors’ surgery is to be constructed.

An emergency closure of Snatts Roads will be in place for gas main repairs.

The road will be closed from the C41 junction with London Road to outside No 27 Snatts Road until May 4. In recent weeks there have been long-running works at the junction of Snatts Road and London Road with three-way traffic lights in operation.
