Father Christmas to deliver Uckfield presents in a fire engine
East Sussex Fire and Rescue service has announced that Father Christmas is to visit the homes of Uckfield children in a fire engine to deliver presents.
It says the Uckfield station is setting up a door-to-door service to deliver presents to children on Christmas Eve.
The fire and rescue service says on its website that for just £2 the man in red will suprise a loved one with a hand-delivered present.
"All you have to do for this personal service is to arrange for the present to be dropped off at the station, clearly labelled with the child's name and address, along with the small donation. All money raised will be donated to the Fire Fighters Charity."
Residents will be able to drop off presents from December 8 until December 21 between 9am to 6pm.
"Then on Christmas Eve Father Christmas will be delivering these presents to the recipients requested in a fire engine."
The fire and rescue service says this service is only open to the community of Uckfield.
