Farmers allowed to build new shop

Farmers allowed to build new shop

Farmers are being given the go ahead to build a new farm shop in Isfield.

Members of Wealden Council's planning sub-committee, north, who met last week approved plans submitted by Michael and Kathy Fordham.

The couple currently have a shop at Bradford's Farm, Little Horsted, but say there is no space to expand there.

They say a purpose-built shop at Holly Gap Farm, Station Road, Isfield, would give them space for more customers, to expand the range of local produce on sale and provide additional services to farmers and the community.

Read more about the couple's idea for a community growing project in a previous Uckfield News story about the planning application: Farmers hope to build new shop.

Here is a link to the report to the planning sub-committee.
