Consultations open on proposed dog control orders in Uckfield
Consultations have been opened by Uckfield Town Council on its proposed dog control orders.
The council plans to make four separate orders covering land in its ownership.
Details of the planned orders and how to make representations can be found here on the town council website.
The proposals, when first announced caused considerable anger among dog owners who founded a group to put their views to the town council.
Amendments were made to the proposals now going out to consultation but many dog owners are uneasy about some of the regulations and how they will be implemented.
The consultation period runs until the end of the month.
