Canon Bill Peters retires as chaplain at Uckfield hospital
Canon Bill Peters has retired as chaplain at Uckfield Community Hospital.
Colleagues gathered at the hospital to bid him farewell on Friday.
He said: "It has been a great privilege to visit all the patients over the last 42 years, many of whom were my friends. Especially thank to our recently retired matron Sue Adams and her predecessors."
Senior clinical sister Heather Green said: "Bill has been a fantastic support and has been much appreciated for his great love of Uckfield hospital."
