New independent estate agents in Uckfield, Peter Oliver, are looking forward to getting involved with community activities and are offering up to 50% off their fees until the end of September.
The business has been launched, at 103 High Street, by Owen Badman and Nick Gulliver who have a combined 30 years experience with another agency helping people in and around Uckfield to sell their homes.
Nick said: “We will be offering a personal and friendly service tailored to the person selling their home and committed to achieving the best price for them.”
He added: “There will be occasions when a client wants to sell quickly and we will be well placed to react in those circumstances, but there will be other times when achieving a good price matters more and we won’t be pushing people into accepting the first offer made.”
Owen said that in today’s market, when there aren’t many homes for sale and a lot of people are looking, an effective way of reaching buyers is to hold an Open House event, allowing potential buyers to make appointments to see a property on one day.
Other marketing options are available too. Peter Oliver advertises on Zoopla, PrimeLocation.com and RightMove, where they have invested in a featured space to give their clients greater prominence.
The mix also includes newspaper advertising and promotion on social media. You’ll find Peter Oliver on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
They have invested in photographic equipment, and software for floor plans, which will enhance property details and are able to use drones where appropriate to give a birds-eye view to attract additional interest.
The new estate agents are also able to offer mortgage advice thanks to having the services of a financial advisor – and clients all have Nick and Owen’s mobile numbers in case they are needed outside normal office hours.
Owen said that he is an early bird and usually in the office from 7am and happy to take calls and welcome people in from that time. The office is open until 6pm on week days and until 3.30pm on Saturdays.
The two said: “We hope people will come in and chat with us when choosing an estate agent. It is worth taking advantage of the special offer we have running until the end of September which enables us to offer up to 50% off our usual fees.”
Peter Oliver is already getting involved in community events. It is sponsoring Uckfield Rugby Club’s 50th anniversary weekend and will have a stall on the Luxford Field tomorrow (Saturday, August 26) where there will be children’s colouring competitions to take part in and balloons to pick up.
