New parking regulations approved for 14 sites in Uckfield

New parking regulations have been approved for 14 sites in Uckfield by East Sussex County Council’s planning committee.double yellow lines

The committee was told on Wednesday that 23 objections were received relating to four of the sites but members agreed with a report which said it was not felt they provided sufficient grounds to warrant any modification or withdrawal of the proposals.

The proposals attracting objections, and shown on plans, before the committee were:

  • The introduction of double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, restrictions at the junction of Forge Rise with Farriers Way and around a bend in Bridge Farm Road.
  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Keld Avenue with Alexandra Road; going round a bend from Alexandra Road into Mill Drive and on bends in Mill Drove.
  • Amending a time limited restriction in a bay in High Street near Hooke Hall from Monday to Saturday, 8am-6pm, maximum stay 20 minutes, no return within one hour.
  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Warburton Close with Downsview Crescent.

Other sites shown on plans before the committee were:

  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Wares Road with New Road.
  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Vernon Road with Harcourt Road.
  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Vernon Road with Selby Road.
  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Keld Avenue with Alexandra Road; on a corner from Alexandra Road into Mill Drove and on bend in Mill Drove.
  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Bell Lane and Bolton Close with Brookside.
  • Double yellow lines, no waiting at any time, at the junction of Linden Chase with Hempstead Road.
  • Time limited parking from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm in a bay in Church Street.
  • Removal of a disabled parking bay in Lealands Drive.
