New Buxted roundabout to be made more visible to traffic

The new roundabout created on the A272 at Buxted is temporary and will be replaced by a more permanent structure, members of the parish council have been told.

East Sussex County Council highways department said the final roundabout would be higher and more visible to traffic coming from the east on the A272.

The roundabout has been constructed to serve a new housing estate being built to the west of Church Road and is at the junction of Framfield Road.

Councillors were told the new health centre, currently under construction, is due for completion in April next year.

Cllr Vivienne Blanford who has stepped up from vice-chairman of the council to chairman following the resignation of Cllr Alison Crowe as chairman.

The new vice-chairman is Cllr Michelle Warner. The council has two vacancies.
